Condemn the Condom?

Malayang magnude walking papuntang Tsim Sha Tsui o kaya kumain ng mumurahing sushi sa Aji Ichiban.

Pero dahil sa kalakaran ng lipunan dito sa HK at sa maraming lugar, imposibleng maganap ito. Kaya nagdadamit ako.

Marami sa atin ang nagdadamit. Depende sa kung ano ang okasyon. At motibo. Me nagpapakyut. Me nangangarir. Me nagmumudel-mudelan ala Anne Hathaway with red gloves to Elias-Clarke office. Me nagpapakadiscrete.

Pero syempre ayon pa rin sa social norms, sa societal rules. We have to conform.

Lately, si Pope Benedict, ang posibleng pinakakonserbatibong fashionista na nakilala ko, me pinapakalat na bagong moda - by condemning the wearing of condom. Ang dahilan: it aggravates the problem of HIV/AIDS.

While I never really liked wearing a condom, I beg to disagree with the man. I think anybody would.

Wearing a condom protects both parties. While it does not solve the problem of sexual anarchy, having Okamoto or Durex in your pocket and using it when you need it still helps.

Sexual decadence is a different issue altogether. But this one - condemning the condom - is an issue that has to be addressed.

Dahil kahit umabot ako sa panahong pwede na akong mag-undress in public, magsusuot pa rin ako ng condom.
