Doing it DP Style

I was in Central awhile ago. Being there, I cannot help but visit a very familiar place.

And they were on sale.

There, I caught glimpse of a coatie and this singlet.

The singlet was flimsy, cottony, cool to the feel, almost like Fruit of the Loom panties. The coatie was thin, shimmery blue and almost like a very think kapote worn in Grade school.

I dropped the coatie. Got the singlet. Obviously.

Went back to Kowloon and went straight to the public pool. Sadly, my goggles broke.

To appease myself, I wore my singlet.

Epilogue: Liesel at 17

Dateline: Sometime in the Glory Days of the 21st Century's First Decade
Location: Jordan, Hong Kong SAR (Today's Geneva, Switzerland)

Liesel, now aged 34, opens his laptop and checks with a bit of apprehension his gmail for any e-telegram.

He hears the usual welcome melody of an Asus laptop turning on. The blank monitor lights up with color. Liesel sits and stares with emotions stirred up between indifference and overpowering hopefulness.

As he waits, memories of their last days in Salzburg come back. Them memories are cut short when the inbox finally opens.

Ang feeling ko ngayon ay isang babaeng naghihintay sa mga telegramang darating sa aming bahay.
